¿Quién es G-Man?

Todos los que hemos jugado a Half Life nos lo hemos preguntado. El personaje conocido como G-Man es un personaje rodeado de misterio. Apenas se sabe nada de él. Aparece y desaparece durante el juego. Solo tenemos contacto con él al final de Half Life y al principio y al final de Half Life 2, igual que en el principio del episodio 1 y a mediados del episodio 2. Pero... ¿quién es? Voy a hablar de las teorías que se cuentan sobre él:

 -Gordon del Futuro: podríamos decir que es un viajero temporal para cambiar ciertos sucesos. A favor, está su nombre: G-Man puede ser la contracción de Gordon freeMAN. En contra, los poderes que posee.

 -Vortigaunt: otros dicen que es Vortigaunt que se separó del resto, incrementando sus poderes gracias a la Esencia Vortal, logrando proteger a su especie. De algún modo (no sabemos cómo) habría conseguido  adquirir una forma humana. Esta teoría explica sus poderes, que otros Vortigaunt lo puedan parar y que tenga un gran respeto a Freeman. En contra de la teoría, que no está en contacto con la Alianza.

 -Robot: muchos otros defienden esta teoría, en la que involucran a Aperture Science. Para empezar, Aperture Science y Black Mesa fueron competidoras. Cave Jhonson (director de Aperture Science) quería superar a Black Mesa, idea que podría haber introducido en la memoria de GLaDOS. GLaDOS habría creado a G-Man, y lo habría enviado a Black Mesa como agente del gobierno, sugiriendo que el Espectrómetro de antimateria debería de probarse a más del 100%. A favor, su capacidad de desapareer y desaparecer rápidamente (tecnología con portales, de parte de Aperture Science), pero por otro lado, tras el incidente de Black Mesa habría cumplido su misión, y no habría mostrado interés a ningún personaje.

 -Fantasma: la última teoría únicamente dice que G-Man es en realidad un fantasma que únicamente quiere aprovecharse de Gordon y, ya de paso, ayudarlo en su destino. Cuenta con grandes puntos a su favor, como que lleva encima un maletín, que vaya uniformado y  mencione "varias ofertas de trabajo" , ya que hace referencia con esto a la vigilancia que puso también a Barney Calhoun y a Adrian Shepard.

Personalmente, creo que la del robot de Aperture Science es la que tiene más sentido. Si esta teoría es correcta, además encontraríamos pistas en el Borealis, corroborando la veracidad de la teoría.

If you have played Half Life, then you would asked who is G-Man. He is a misterious character. We don't know a lot about him. He appears, and then, he vanishes in the middle of the game. It appears during the final of Half Life 1, when you start and when you finish Half Life 2, and he appears at the start of Half Life Episode 1 and in the middle of the episode 2. But...Who is he? I'm going to talk about some theories about this charater:

 - A future Freeman: he travels trying to change several events. On the one hand, Gordon Freeman can be shorten in G-MAN. On the other hand, we can't explain his misterious powers.

-Vortigaunt: another ones say that he is a Vortigaunt that went apart from the others, increasing his Vortal Essence, protecting his species. Somehow, he could acquire a human appareance. This theory explains his power, that the other Vortigaunt can stop him and that he respects Freeman, but it can explain why he is not part of the Alliance.

 -Robot: he is a robot of Aperture Science. Aperture Science and Black Mesa has been always been rivals. Cave Jhonson (the director of Aperture Science) wanted to overtake Black Mesa, so he could introduce in the memory of GLaDOS that idea. GlaDOS created G-Man and she would send him to Black Mesa as a Government Man. He would suggest testing the Anti-Mass Spectrometreat at a level of 100%. This theory explain why he can teleport (portal technology, from Aperture Science), but after Black Mesa Incident, he would have finished his mission, and he would ignote any other character.

 -Ghost: he's only a ghost that tries to take advantage of Freeman and help him with his destiny. This explains why he is dressed with a suit and why he carries a suitcase and ahat he mentions "several job offers", relating to the vigilance to Barney Calhoun and Adrian Shepard.

From my point of view, I think that the best theory is the one that speaks about Black Mesa. If this theory is right, we will find some clues in the Borealis.
